Founding Partner
Tyler is a Founding Partner at GSP Insurance Group, leading the Employee Benefits division from Bluffton, SC. With over a decade in the industry, he helps businesses design health and ancillary programs built on education, trust, and clarity rather than pressure. Before co-founding GSP, he worked at Aflac and Kinghorn Insurance and held a leadership role at a top-15 independent agency.
Lee Songer
Founding Partner
Lee is a Founding Partner at GSP Insurance Group, leading the Commercial Insurance division from South Carolina's Lowcountry. He serves clients across SC, GA, and neighboring states in construction, contracting, and hospitality, taking time to understand how each business operates so he can craft coverage that fits like a glove. He co-founded GSP Insurance Group with Tyler Grizzle.
JJ Cornett
Personal Lines Advisor
JJ Cornett brings a rare blend of business leadership and personal-lines expertise to GSP Insurance Group. Originally from Indiana and a graduate of Ball State University, he has called Bluffton, South Carolina home since 2024. Before insurance, JJ spent more than 25 years as a manufacturing manager and executive — including a decade as a manufacturing business owner — and coached high school boys' and girls' golf for seven years. He moved into insurance in 2020 and has been an independent agent ever since, licensed in property & casualty and life & health. His philosophy is simple: guide each client through their questions and provide the products and knowledge that serve them best, acting as a true partner in protecting what they've worked for. JJ specializes in personal lines and life insurance, and also helps clients with their commercial and business coverage. Away from the office, he enjoys golf, concerts with his wife, and spending as much time as he can with his family, including his two adult children.
