Where We Serve

Insurance in Georgia

Our Buford office puts us in the middle of one of Georgia’s fastest-growing corridors — with home, auto, business, and benefits coverage across the state.

GSP has a local office in Georgia

GSP Insurance Group’s Georgia office is in Buford, serving Gwinnett, Hall, and Forsyth counties and the communities around them — Sugar Hill, Suwanee, Cumming, Gainesville, Flowery Branch, Lawrenceville, Duluth, Johns Creek, and Alpharetta. It’s a part of the state that’s growing fast, and growth brings insurance questions: new construction, new businesses, new toys on the lake.

We’re an independent agency, which means we compare options from multiple carriers and recommend what fits you — not whichever product we happen to sell. And because education comes before selling here, you’ll always know why we recommend what we recommend.

What North Georgia homeowners ask us about

Severe weather is part of life in Georgia — thunderstorms, hail, and wind are the claims we see most often on homes here. When we review a Georgia homeowners policy, we look at how your roof is covered, what your deductibles actually are, and whether your dwelling limit reflects today’s rebuilding costs, not the ones from when you bought the house.

One more thing worth knowing: like everywhere else, standard homeowners policies in Georgia exclude rising-water flood. If your home sits near a creek, river, or lake, a separate flood policy may be worth a conversation.

Life on Lake Lanier

Our Buford office sits minutes from Lake Lanier, and boats are a big part of how our Georgia clients spend their weekends. Boat and watercraft coverage is its own specialty — liability on the water, physical damage, and how your boat, dock, and lift interact with your homeowners policy. We’ll walk you through what’s covered where.

Business and benefits across the Atlanta metro

The northern arc of the Atlanta metro is dense with the businesses we serve best — contractors, trades, professional services, restaurants, and growing companies that need more than a policy: they need certificates handled quickly, honest risk guidance, and someone who picks up the phone.

For employers, we design benefits programs that help you compete for people — group health, ICHRA, life, disability, and voluntary coverage — and we stay involved after the sale, when benefits questions actually come up.

Insurance in Georgia — common questions

Do you serve clients outside the Buford and Atlanta area?
Yes. Our Georgia office is in Buford and most of our Georgia clients are in the northern metro, but we’re licensed statewide and work with personal, business, and benefits clients across Georgia by phone, email, and video.
Does my homeowners policy cover my boat on Lake Lanier?
Usually only in a very limited way. Homeowners policies typically provide little or no coverage for boats beyond small watercraft, and liability on the water is its own exposure. A separate boat and watercraft policy is generally the right way to protect a boat on Lanier — we’ll help you sort out what your specific policies do and don’t cover.
What kinds of Georgia businesses do you work with?
Contractors and trades, professional services, restaurants and hospitality, healthcare, property management, and real estate are common fits. If you need general liability, commercial property, workers compensation, commercial auto, or an employee benefits program, we can likely help — and we’ll tell you honestly if we’re not the right fit.
